Who is the OIB Saltwater Cowgirl?

Coming from a long line of cattle farmers, why am I writing a beach blog? I fell in love with Jimmy Buffett and pirates a long time ago and honestly, have never looked back. I grew up riding horses and barrel racing competitively at rodeos. But when we weren’t at a rodeo on the weekend, my Mom and Step-Dad would be taking me to beach music festivals from the Outer Banks all the way down to Savannah.

When the opportunity presented itself for us to buy a beach house I was ecstatic! I am a HUGE food junkie and always like to find new spots! I love fresh seafood and all the secret local hole in the walls. My husband and I always make a point to stop and buy a beer from a local pub or restaurant and grow our knowledge of every beach town we come across. We also travel with our 5-year-old daughter and she would rather be traveling on an airplane or riding on a boat any day of the week!

Learning more about Brunswick islands and our home at Ocean Isle Beach has been amazing and we have met some pretty amazing people. I hope to show you why the Brunswick Islands are so amazing, as well as giving some tricks and tips on beach traveling with husbands and kiddos!
